A federal judge on Thursday appointed Judge Raymond Dearie as the special master who will independently review documents seized during the FBI’s raid of Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. She also denied the Justice Department’s motion to access the classified material for its ongoing investigation.

Ukraine’s president says a mass grave has been discovered near a northeastern city that Ukrainian forces recaptured from the Russians. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he acknowledged China’s “concern” over the war in Ukraine during a meeting between him and China’s President Xi Jinping in Uzbekistan.

And, Axios reports that White House officials are planning to meet this morning to discuss “ligation options” in response to the governors of Florida and Texas transporting undocumented migrants from the southern border to other parts of the country.
