It doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t have to spin out of control. But you do have to make some changes and change can be hard. Trust me. I know. I’ve been making lots of changes.
I’ve been reading and teaching the Old Testament, and no doubt there’s a pattern. The people fell into idolatry, lost their freedom and finally cried out to the Lord. Eventually, they quit calling out to the Lord. They embraced their idolatry. Violence and gluttony became their way of life, and eventually led to their death.
The book of Jeremiah makes it clear: God longs for a relationship with us. That’s crazy. I don’t know any rich, powerful, important people on earth who want a relationship with me. But the God of the universe does. And he wants a relationship with you, too.
That’s where I come in. I’ve dedicated most of my adult life to finding ways to bring you closer to God.
Why? Because that’s where you find peace and the unconditional love you long for. As long as we’re breathing, there will be struggle. But God is with us and as we get in the Word and work in his kingdom, we’ll find his people are with us, too. Won’t you join me on the journey?”
