Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced an expansion of U.S. military presence in the Philippines today, to counter China’s threat in southeast Asia.
The Federal Reserve Board announced a quarter-point rise in interest rates Wednesday, pushing them to the highest level in 15 years. The Fed is attempting to put another brake on inflation, despite the slowdown in rising prices.
The FBI found no classified documents during an extensive search of President Joe Biden’s Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home on Wednesday. It came after agents already located classified materials at his Wilmington, Delaware home Jan. 20.
And the spotlight is on China this week as thousands of world leaders, activists and others concerned about the persecution of people of faith have gathered in Washington for the International Religious Freedom Summit.
