SPS Announces Two New Interest Groups for the 2024 Meeting

Petitions for two new interest groups were submitted to the Executive Committee earlier this year for consideration.  SPS is proud to announce both groups were approved to be added to the 2024 program.  Social and Behavioral Sciences, chaired by Wesley Lee, focuses on the healing and restoration of individuals’ spirituality.  Worship and the Arts, co-chaired by Steven Félix-Jäger and Chris E. W. Green, focuses on the ethos of creativity and the influence of Pentecostalism on worship and the arts.  Presentations from both groups can be found in the 2024 Annual Meeting Program.

Congratulations Sherry DuPree

Sherry DuPree from Gainesville, Florida, was selected to receive the 2023 Dorothy Porter Wesley Award from the Information Professionals of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History.
