Senator Rand Paul and Dr. Anthony Fauci squared off today in a tense exchange during a Senate hearing. Senator Paul, a doctor, grilled Dr. Fauci on the messaging of continued mask wearing once a person has immunity either through getting the virus or getting the vaccine. If a person is immune, why would they walk around with a mask? Senator Paul repeatedly asks for the science. Fauci responded by arguing variants and strains are beginning to spread, to which Paul countered that policy was being made on a conjecture.
