1. Plane crashes in southern China

A Boeing 737 carrying 132 passengers crashed in the southern Chinese province of Guangxi on Monday, March 21.
The plane was en route from the southwestern city of Kunming to Guangzhou when it lost contact over the city of Wuzhou.
According to AP News, the reason for the crash and the number of causalities are not yet confirmed. Rescuers say they have not seen any sign of survivors.
“The crash has caused shock in China where President Xi Jinping has ordered an immediate investigation to determine the cause. China Eastern Airlines has grounded all its 737-800s,” reports BBC.
China Eastern Airlines has set up a hotline for those inquiring about who was on board and shared "its deep condolences for the passengers and crew members who died.”
2. ‘The Price is Right’ announces cross-country tour

The game show, ‘The Price is Right’ is embarking on a 50 stop coast-to-coast tour.
According to AP News, the tour is supposed to give those who are unable to travel to Los Angeles a chance to see the show.
“It’s kind of an exciting way for us to take something that’s really an important part of CBS’ legacy and do something new and fresh with it,” said Mike Benson, president and chief marketing officer at CBS.
The “Come On Down” tour will begin Friday, March 25 at the Santa Monica Pier. On April 12, the tour will stop in Nashville at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
“Fans will be able to win prizes by guessing the correct retail price for various items in such games as Plinko and compete in a Showcase Showdown. There’s also a chance to win a grand prize of $50,000,” reports AP News.
3. Italian bakery makes ‘peace’ bread for Ukrainian refugees

A bakery in northern Italy is making and selling ‘peace bread’ and donating the proceeds to a fund for the Ukrainian citizens.
According to AP News, the baker, Matteo Cunsolo, makes the bread in the blue and yellow colors of Ukraine’s flag.
“He plans to bring the sweets, along with a truck full of locally donated diapers, food, medicine and clothes, to the Ukrainian-Polish border next week,” reports AP News.
Cunsolo and other neighboring bakers have made 600 kilograms (1,325 pounds) of cookies so far.
“After running away from the bombs, perhaps traveling across forests by night in the cold, I think a cookie is like a little cuddle that can help bring a smile on a child’s face,” Cunsolo said.
Cunsolo said he got the idea after seeing Poland offer Ukrainian refugees warm drinks and bread at the Polish border.
