AGTS Tuition for Master’s Degrees Reduced Over 50%

Due to generous donors, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) has reduced the cost per credit hour for all its master’s degree programs from $565 to $250.

Beginning this fall, all master’s degree programs offered at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) will drop in tuition cost more than 50%, from $565 per credit hour to $250 per credit hour.

This price decrease is made possible through the generosity of AGTS friends and donors who have invested directly in scholarships for students. Additionally, this cost adjustment reflects a zealous recommitment to serve and train ministry leaders within the Assemblies of God fellowship.

The timing of this tuition adjustment corresponds to the 50th anniversary of the Springfield, Missouri, seminary, which opened its doors in September 1973.

“We recognize the increasing cost of earning an advanced degree,” said Mike Rakes, Evangel University president. “And we know the great value seminary training can provide to our ministers and missionaries. Therefore, we are making a focused effort to invest in ministry leaders by providing master’s degrees that are accessible and affordable.”

The discounted tuition rate will apply to both current and new students pursuing a master’s degree at AGTS.

In addition to the tuition discount, seminary fees have been streamlined to include one flat fee of $225 per term and a one-time $200 graduation fee. All other fees have been eliminated.

“AGTS will continue its rich tradition of offering a world class theological education while removing barriers to its practical offerings,” said Rakes. “We hope this tuition decrease will encourage both current and future seminary students to expand their education.”
