Brazil’s government has arrested hundreds of supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro after they stormed the National Congress building and other buildings in Brasilia Sunday. The protesters were demanding the source code from voting machines used during the country’s elections on Oct. 30.
Israel has rebuked the United Nations and the Palestinian Authority after calling an emergency UN Security Council meeting to probe Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Palestinians condemned the visit by the controversial figure, while Israel blasted the emergency session as “absurd.”
And President Joe Biden paid a 4-hour visit to the southern U.S. border at El Paso Sunday, his first visit to the border as president. Republicans criticized the visit as a publicity stunt. Biden is in Mexico City today for an immigration summit.
