Attorney-General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel Thursday to investigate classified documents found in President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, garage and at a Washington think tank where he had an office after leaving the vice presidency.
Tornadoes killed at least 7 people in Alabama and Georgia, destroying homes and businesses. Two rural communities near Selma, AL bore the brunt of the storms.
The nation’s inflation rate slowed for the 6th straight month. Used car and gas prices fell, raising hopes that the Federal Reserve could soon ease up on interest rates.
And singer Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, died from cardiac arrest after being admitted to a Los Angeles area hospital Thursday. Her mother, Priscilla Presley, announced her death. She was 54.
