President Biden spoke to Congress and the nation Tuesday night in his first State of the Union address since Republicans took control of the House. The economy was a prominent theme for Biden as he touted what he sees as a strong economy. Former President Trump responded that “Democrats have wasted trillions of dollars and caused the worst inflation in half a century.”
Miracle rescue scenes of little children being pulled alive from the earthquake rubble in Turkey and Syria have touched hearts worldwide, but those stories are becoming scarce as the death toll surpasses 10,000.
And LeBron James became the NBA’s career scoring leader yesterday, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record during his 38-point performance in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
