‘Human Beings Are Flawed’: Matthew West’s Powerful Message About Sin and the Lord
Celebrated Christian singer Matthew West continues to resonate with fans, with his authenticity, powerful lyrics, and uplifting music inspiring and offering insight into powerful biblical truths. West is preparing for the release of his new double album “My Story Your Glory”, and a TV special by the same name on Friday, Feb. 10, on TBN at 8, 9:30, and 11 p.m. West joins CBN’s Billy Hallowell and Tré Goins-Phillips to discuss the special, his passion for the Gospel, his new music, his childhood, and how the Lord has used his songs to make a difference in his life and in the lives of those who listen. West specifically addressed the importance of Christians remembering that God is humans’ only true source of full trust. “People are going to fail you … people in the church, too,” he said. “A church is filled with human beings and human beings are flawed. And if you look for God in other people, sometimes you’re gonna see Him, but sometimes you’re not.” Even when people disappoint us, West said we can’t let it impact our “view of God.” “Keep your eyes on Him.
