Mark 14:53-15:20: Jesus’s secret identity revealed

While Peter is denying his identity as Jesus’s disciple, Jesus is confessing his identity as Daniel’s Son of Man. While guards mock Jesus as a false prophet, his prophecy concerning Peter’s denials is fulfilled. Unconvinced that Jesus is a threat, Pilate tries to use the crowd to exonerate him, a plan that backfires. Guards abuse their prisoner.
