Netanyahu Calls for Calm, TikTok CEO Grilled, Trans Athletes Banned, and Airstrikes in Syria #shorts
The CEO of TikTok faced a bi-partisan grilling on Capitol Hill Thursday, as security concerns mounted over what kinds of data the app could be collecting on more than 150 million Americans.
In a nationwide television address Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for calm and said his government will move ahead with judicial reforms despite 11 weeks of street protests.
The World Athletic Council, the international governing body for running sports as well as track and field, has banned transgender athletes from competing in women’s events.
And the Pentagon announced U.S. airstrikes hit targets in Syria Thursday after a U.S. contractor was killed and 6 others injured by an unmanned drone at a U.S. facility in northeastern Syria. U.S. intelligence says the drone was of Iranian origin.
