#Disney Cancels Development, #FBI Testimony, and #Zelenskyy Joins #G-7 Summit #shorts
The House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government heard testimony for the first time from former FBI agents. They contend the agency forced them out because of their conservative beliefs. Some Democrats argue Republicans are trying to weaken and ultimately destroy the agency.
Against the backdrop of its feud with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the Disney Corporation has canceled a $1 billion development in central Florida that would have brought 2,000 jobs to the Sunshine State. A DeSantis spokesman said that, given the company’s “financial straits,” it is “unsurprising” that the project would be shelved.
And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy will join the G-7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan, as the world’s most powerful leaders consider extra sanctions against Russia for its actions in the Ukraine war.
