Wow. I had gen-ed students read and assess excerpts of Augustine’s conversion a few weeks ago. We talked about some of the political commentary surrounding the upcoming election. And all of this before Trump’s weekend idiocy. So your attempt to offer cryptic comparison is easily decoded.
Brought to mind a COG evangelist I had years ago who sprinkled his sins ( before conversion ) in all his sermons.He got down and dirty and in detail and deserved at least an R rating. I never invited him back.
