As a 10-year-old Jewish boy, Zvi was separated from his parents and forced to face the trials of survival in Adolph Hitler’s Holocaust. How he triumphed against all odds and found his way home to Israel and faith in the Messiah Jesus is one of the greatest stories of our time.
I am sitting here on my honeymoon, on the beautiful and tropical west coast of Florida, reading a book that has long been on my reading list. The book is called simply ‘Zvi’, and it is the story of a ten-year old Jewish boy named Henryk Kalisher who loses everything during the Nazi occupation of Poland, but gains eternal life through the Messiah Jesus.
“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” Revelation 3:12 (KJB)
The Jews are God’s chosen people, Israel with its capital of Jerusalem is His holy land, and one day soon King Jesus will coming riding in on horseback to rule and reign for a thousand years. You and I who are saved, according to Revelation 19:14, will be coming back with Him on that Day. Why not get a ‘jump start’ on all that by being a blessing to the Jew and Israel right here and now by faith? You’ll be very glad you did when you stand before the King of the Jews at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
