Fed Won’t Raise Rates in June, Trump Officially Charged, and a Mass Shooting in Denver #shorts
Former President Donald Trump spoke to supporters in New Jersey Tuesday after becoming the first ex-president to be arraigned on federal charges. Trump pleaded “not guilty” to the charges in court, and later called the indictment a “sham” and history’s “most heinous abuse of power.”
A shooting in downtown Denver Tuesday marred the celebrations for the Denver Nuggets’ first-ever NBA championship. Authorities say the conflict over a drug deal left 10 people wounded.
And the Federal Reserve, having raised interest rates at the fastest pace in four decades, is poised Wednesday to leave rates alone for the first time in 15 months. However, top Fed officials have made clear that any such pause may be brief with another possible rate hike looming in late July.
