Abortion Ruling in Iowa, Texas Tornado Kills 3, and the World’s First Synthetic Human Embryo #shorts
The Texas Panhandle town of Perryton is in recovery mode after a tornado hit its city center, killing 3 people and injuring dozens of others. The twister heavily damaged more than two blocks of downtown Perryton and destroyed 30 trailers in a mobile home park.
The world’s first synthetic human embryo-like structures have been created by a team of scientists from the United States and the United Kingdom using stem cells, rather than from human eggs and sperm. The announcement of the team’s research has raised many legal and ethical questions.
And a bid to reinstate Iowa’s ban on most abortions has failed in the state Supreme Court, which sided against Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds. Abortions are allowed in Iowa up to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
