Russia Blocks Grain Shipments, Netanyahu to Visit White House, and Iowa Abortion Law Blocked #shorts
President Joe Biden on Monday invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet in the United States for the first time since Netanyahu re-entered office in December. Relations between the US and Israel have been tense in recent months after Biden criticized the Netanyahu coalition’s judicial reform plans amid massive nationwide protests.
In a move that threatens the global food supply, Russia is suspending an agreement that allowed Ukraine to export grain. The decision came after Ukraine’s military hit a key bridge linking the Crimean peninsula to Russia.
And an Iowa judge on Monday temporarily blocked a new law banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. Abortion will remain legal in Iowa while legal proceedings play out.
