Lost Sailor Rescued at Sea, Tornado Destroys Pfizer Factory, and Women’s World Cup Underway #shorts
U.S. hospital drug supplies may be strained further after a tornado ripped open the roof of a Pfizer factory this week. The company says its factory near Rocky Mount, North Carolina, makes nearly 25% of Pfizer’s sterile injectable medicines used in U.S. hospitals. Pfizer says all employees were accounted for after Wednesday’s storm.
An Australian sailor who had been adrift at sea with his dog for three months has been rescued by a Mexican tuna boat in international waters. He and his dog survived on raw fish after their catamaran was disabled by a storm.
And the Women’s World Cup kicked off yesterday in Australia and New Zealand. The U.S. Women’s National team takes on Vietnam tonight at 9pm ET as they look to win their third straight World Cup title.
