A special edition of the FireBible, designed for Chi Alpha missionaries to distribute to college students, was recently completed.

After a number of years in development, the Chi Alpha FireBible has officially launched and 15,000 copies have been made available to U.S. missionaries serving with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, U.S.A. — U.S. Missions' arm to disciple college and university students on campuses nationwide.

Every dollar invested in the development of this special edition of the FireBible was provided by Light for the Lost.

“When this unique evangelism resource was envisioned, we knew we wanted to take it on as a meaningful investment in reaching college students for Christ,” says Rick Allen, national Light for the Lost director. “We committed to funding the Chi Alpha FireBible 100 percent, and God blessed our efforts. We are honored and thankful to every Light for the Lost supporter who contributed to this miracle.”

For many students, this FireBible will be their first exposure to an in-depth study of God’s Word in an environment where they can ask questions, get answers, and build relationships with Christians.

“In a university culture of biblical illiteracy which questions the legitimacy of Scripture, the Chi Alpha FireBible provides a resource of historical proportion,” says E. Scott Martin, senior national director of Chi Alpha. “The ability to give the Chi Alpha FireBible to completely unchurched university students . . . enhances our mission to disciple university students.”

Chi Alpha’s mission to reconcile students to Christ, and Light for the Lost’s mission to resource missionaries for evangelism, made the Chi Alpha FireBible a natural project for partnership.

“[The missionaries] have been eagerly awaiting this remarkable gift,” says Martin. “We can never say thank you enough to Light for the Lost for providing the Chi Alpha FireBible.”

Any U.S. missionary with Chi Alpha planning to use Chi Alpha FireBibles for evangelism and discipleship on American campuses may request them from the National Chi Alpha office.
