Trinity to Celebrate Diamond Anniversary
Trinity Bible College and Graduate School is marking 75 years of preparing students for ministry with a celebration of God’s faithfulness.
Trinity Bible College & Graduate School will mark its 75th anniversary with the theme of “Faithful” as the college pays tribute to God’s faithfulness during a four-day celebration event to be held Sept. 7-10 on its Ellendale, North Dakota, campus.
The college, which has been extensively upgraded and renovated over the past decade, has witnessed God’s provision as it has continued to progress in multiple arenas.
Since 2018, five major campus projects have been completed, including its two most-recent renovations, the Roy Wead Center for Education and the Arts (formerly Flemington Hall) and the cafeteria. Trinity has also added five new academic programs and seen the graduate school have global impact, educating and training students representing 25 nations.
However, perhaps one of the most surprising accomplishments that has taken place — especially given the number of renovation projects completed in recent years — is that the school is now completely debt free.
“The college is, in a word, flourishing,” states Trinity President Paul Alexander. “In addition to the impact the graduate school is having around the world, our undergraduates are ministering all over the world while earning college credits through our Pack Your Bags program and yearly Go Trips. We are also determined to maintain our debt-free position in order to be increasingly innovative in programming and offer our students an affordable education.”
According to Bryan Jacobson, the director of Alumni, Church, and Donor Relations, the 75th celebration will offer plenty of opportunities to connect, fun activities, times of worship, and more. Registration is already underway.
For guests arriving by Thursday, Sept. 7, a late-night, student-led prayer and worship service will be available, with celebration activities gearing up on Friday.
“We will host an evening celebration service on Friday, Sept. 8, which will include an alumni choir, alumni testimonies of God's faithfulness, and a concert from alumnus Greg Long and his wife, Janna, both of the Christian group, Avalon,” Jacobson says. “However, earlier in the day, there’s an opportunity to participate in a cafeteria lunch, enjoy a campus tour, and take part in class reunions.”
Saturday includes the opportunity to join in the local Applefest 5K run/walk, enjoy a “pancake feed,” participate in the Applefest parade, tour the campus, and attend a Trinity Lions soccer match.
“On Saturday evening, President Alexander will host the Vision Banquet, sharing his heart for what lies ahead in Trinity's future,” Jacobson says. “We'll then close off the weekend with a Sunday morning worship service led by one of Trinity's iconic dean of students, Jim Hessler, and recent-graduate Kaitlyn Stoughton.”
“There is much to celebrate,” Alexander says, “but there is still so much more to accomplish in the future, and we want to share that with our alumni, donors, and friends.”
