Israel Monitoring Hezbollah, Hate Crime in Jacksonville, and Idalia Could Become Hurricane #shorts
Hundreds gathered this weekend to mourn the victims of a murder-suicide in a Black neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. In what authorities described as a “racially motivated” hate crime, a 21-year-old masked gunman killed 3 people at a Dollar General store, and then killed himself.
Weather experts say Tropical Storm Idalia could achieve hurricane strength before it makes landfall along the Florida Gulf Coast later this week. The storm could bring strong winds, heavy rains, and flooding to the Florida panhandle.
And Israeli defense officials are closely monitoring Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, as Iran’s chief proxy in the region has conducted incursions across Israel’s border and ramped up its rhetoric in recent months. Military authorities say the potential for conflict is higher now than at any time since the last war in 2006.
