Residents in 4 Southeastern states are assessing the damage from Hurricane Idalia, now a tropical storm headed for the Atlantic Ocean. Two deaths were reported in Florida, where Idalia made landfall Wednesday, while winds and waves toppled trees and power lines, creating substantial damage from Florida to the Carolinas.
