Armenians Appeal to UN, Murdoch Steps Down, and Washington Sending Troops to Border #shorts
Azerbaijan says that after a 2-day military offensive it has regained total control of Nagorno-Karabakh and has begun discussions with ethnic Armenians who were trying to flee from Azerbaijani rule. Armenia’s government called on the U.N. Security Council to intervene.
Fox News and News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch announced he’s stepping down from his role and will turn over control of the companies to his son. Murdoch, 92, distributed a letter saying he will continue to be involved in news, but in a different capacity.
And Washington is sending 800 troops to the U.S. border with Mexico after Eagle Pass, Texas, was inundated with 6,000 migrants earlier this week. Mexico’s president is calling for a meeting in Washington to try to resolve the crisis.
