Gaetz Aims to Oust McCarthy, Trump’s Court Appearance, and Biden to Shore Up Ukraine Funding #shorts
Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has followed through on his pledge to file a motion to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Gaetz moved Monday to “vacate the chair,” claiming McCarthy has not honored agreements made to GOP lawmakers.
Former President Donald Trump made an angry appearance at his New York fraud trial Monday, saying he wanted to “watch this witch hunt myself.” Trump glared at New York Attorney General Letitia James as he left the proceedings and later suggested the presiding judge should be disbarred.
And the Biden administration is trying to shore up the U.S. commitment to continued aid for Ukraine, even as opposition is growing among Republicans and some nations in Europe. Several GOP lawmakers voted against any further aid for Ukraine in the weekend budget resolution, which included no extra funding for Kyiv.
