US Vetoes UN Resolution, Jordan Fails to Secure Speaker Votes, and US Military Intervention #shorts
The U.S. vetoed a U.N. resolution Wednesday that called for a “humanitarian pause” in the fighting because it lacked wording that addressed Israel’s right to defend itself. Meanwhile, the Biden administration pledged $100 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza.
On Wednesday, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan failed in a crucial second ballot vote to be elected as Speaker of the House. This time Jordan was opposed by 22 Republicans, two more than he lost in first-round of voting the day before.
And Axios reports that U.S. officials are discussing the possibility of military intervention if Hezbollah joins the war in Israel. CBN reports that Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire in recent days.
