The picture you see at the top of this article just came across my phone a few moments ago, it’s beautifully lit and almost reminds you of one of those gorgeous Norman Rockwell paintings from the 1940’s. Look in the center of the photo, and what do you see? You see box after box of King James Bibles, waiting at the church altar, and ready to be sent out to the Richmond Correctional Facility this weekend when Evangelist David Spurgeon comes to preach a series of meetings at the Wooster Bible Church in Ohio. How did all those Bibles get there? You sent them.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Revelation 3:20-22 (KJB)
We live in the dispensation of the Church Age, the Laodicean Church Age I might add, but not everyone is lukewarm and self-focused. Revelation 3 offers a personal invitation for any born again Christian to ‘answer the door’ to the Lord Jesus, not for salvation but for works, the work of preaching and teaching the gospel of the kingdom of God in these last days. Chaplain Ricardo, Pastor Joe, and everyone else over at Wooster Bible Church are hungry to get something done for the Lord, and it’s exciting to see! More than just watching it, though, it’s thrilling to help them to carry out the work God’s called them to do by supplying them with the Bibles they need to minister with in prison.

Take a good look at that photo. It’s your prayers and generous financial support that put those Bibles at that altar. Please pray for their big weekend coming up starting this Friday. Pray the Lord will give them a harvest of souls at the prison, pray for Bro. Spurgeon’s messages, and pray for the inmates who will all be given a King James Bible that we’ve supplied. Just before I sat down to write this article, the Torrance County Detention Facility in New Mexico emailed us and wanting to know if we can send them 600 Bibles as soon as possible. I think you know how I replied. It is exciting and intimidating at the same time. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations.
