As the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is extended at least two more days for the release of more hostages, there are concerns the pause in fighting could help Hamas regroup and rebuild– and hurt Israel’s military campaign to destroy the terrorist group; CBN Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell talks from Jerusalem about the impact of the ceasefire, what the Biden Administration has told Israel about its future military actions, and the possibility of the ceasefire being extended; local authorities in the birthplace of Jesus, Bethlehem, have decided not to put up Christmas decorations this year because of the war in Gaza, and how Christian leader Steven Khoury is looking to redeem the situation; as Israel has lost some 370 soldiers in Gaza, we look at how Israeli families face the loss of a loved one serving in the military, and at groups that help the families through those difficult times; and CBN News spoke with Alabama Senator Katie Britt about her trip to Israel with other lawmakers before the ceasefire to talk with hostage families, and her views on what the US should do in the Middle East.
