Bibles Behind Bars is a very unique part of our ministry, raised up by God to supply a very specific need for Bibles in these end times, and 100% supported by NTEB’ers.
We received an incredible, and urgent, email from the Inmate Support Services Chaplain at the Boulder County Jail, David O’Rourke, who wrote telling us that bible supplier Prison Fellowship had informed him they would not longer be sending them any Bibles. In fact, they have cut off all jail chaplains from receiving Bibles going forward into the new year. The Boulder County Jail has a desperate need for Bibles, and wanted to know if Bibles Behind Bars could meet that need. As DL Moody used to say at moments like these, “yes, yes, a thousand times yes!”
“For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.” Acts 13:47-49 (KJB)
Chaplain Dave’s email reads “I am the Chaplain in the Boulder County Jail in Boulder, Colorado. I am looking for a donation of Bibles to respond to requests from inmates. I was receiving Bibles from Prison Fellowship. However they have decided to no longer send Bibles to Jail Chaplains, so I will be short approximately 150 Bibles in the coming year. If you are able to provide me with Bibles then I can meet the needs of the men and women in our Jail who request a Bible. Thank you!” There you have it. We are sending him 20 cases of beautiful black, vinyl King James Bibles next week.

In addition to that, Chaplain Todd Herbert from the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center that we supplied earlier this year wrote to tell us they are about out after having blessed 400 inmates with Bibles since April. He asked if we could send him some more. What a blessing! Bibles Behind Bars is a very unique part of our ministry, raised up by God to supply a very specific need for Bibles in these end times. Finally, we sent out the 100 kid’s King James Bibles for the foster child backpack program in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, yesterday. They are very excited to receive them. All of this possible through your prayers and through your generous donations. Thank you so very much…TO THE FIGHT!!!

Please continue to pray for us, and for wisdom for me especially, as we continue taking steps to print the NTEB branded King James Bible for our free Bible and Bibles Behind Bars program. It is exciting and intimidating at the same time. If the Lord has prospered your financially, we ask you to donate to help us continue to send out free Bibles at this level, and even higher than we are at the moment. It takes a lot of prayer, and a lot of resources to do all this. Praise the Lord we are doing it, all of us together, labouring in the Lord’s harvest field. TO THE FIGHT!!!
When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. The Lord has given us an open door with a tremendous ‘course’ for us to fulfill that will create an excellent experience at the Judgement Seat of Christ.
