In mid-November, conservative commentator Candace Owens tweeted on ‘X’ that “no government anywhere has the right to commit a genocide, ever.” This led to some acrimony among two prominent members of the conservative news website “The Daily Wire.”

It was probably not necessarily the tweet that caused the controversy but rather its timing. On October 7, 2023, the ‘Palestinians’ attacked innocent Israelis and brutalized their men, women, and children. This attack was, among rational people, completely unprovoked and put on display the utter savagery of Hamas.

As Israel was in the process of exacting retribution on Hamas and trying to rescue their hostages, Owens released her tweet.

It seemed as if Owens was not only urging restraint in Israel’s retaliation against Hamas but also implied that the IDF was about to commit ‘genocide’ against the ‘Palestinians.’

Urging restraint against Hamas is like urging restraint against Hitler. As for ‘genocide,’ the IDF is known for attempting to protect the innocent while trying to eliminate the guilty.

There is no Muslim military entity that burdens itself with that particular concern for its enemy.

And administering justice to a demonic death cult that savagely rapes and murders innocent civilians does not qualify as a ‘genocide.’

The ‘Palestinians,’ or a great majority of them, strongly desire the genocide of the Jews. It is in their charter, and they are not shy about letting their neighbors know how they feel.

And yes, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a cry for the genocide of the Jews. Also, the desire on the part of world leaders for a ‘two-state solution’ is advanced with genocidal intent.

Fellow conservative commentator Ben Shapiro called this tweet ‘disgraceful.’ Although Owens’ tweet was cryptic, not in her message but in its timing, he was outraged that it seemed to imply that Israel was the bad guy.

Putting the controversy at the Daily Wire aside, is it actually true that “no government anywhere has the right to commit genocide?” Is there ever a time when genocide is appropriate?

We can say with some certainty that the Armenian Genocide, perpetrated by the Muslim Turks during WWI, was most certainly evil.

The Armenian genocide involved the deportation and mass execution of more than one million, mostly Christian, Armenians. This was not due to any threat that the Armenians posed to the Turks, but rather, it was due to the rise of Turkish nationalism.

Like the Nazis, they wanted to ‘purify’ their lands of religious and ethnic minorities.

This behavior was not new to the Muslim Turks during the time of the Ottoman Empire. Dostoyevsky chronicles the horrors that these people committed against their innocent victims historically. He writes in his book, The Brothers Karamazov, in the Chapter called ‘Rebellion’:

“By the way, a Bulgarian I met lately in Moscow,” Ivan went on, seeming not to hear his brother’s words, “told me about the crimes committed by Turks and Circassians in all parts of Bulgaria through fear of a general rising of the Slavs.

They burn villages, murder, outrage women and children, they nail their prisoners by the ears to the fences, leave them so till morning, and in the morning, they hang them—all sorts of things you can’t imagine.

People talk sometimes of bestial cruelty, but that’s a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as a man, so artistically cruel. The tiger only tears and gnaws; that’s all he can do. He would never think of nailing people by the ears, even if he were able to do it.

These Turks took pleasure in torturing children, too, cutting the unborn child from the mother’s womb, tossing babies up in the air, and catching them on the points of their bayonets before their mothers’ eyes.

Doing it before the mothers’ eyes was what gave zest to the amusement.

Here is another scene that I thought very interesting. Imagine a trembling mother with her baby in her arms, a circle of invading Turks around her. They’ve planned a diversion: they pet the baby and laugh to make it laugh.

They succeed; the baby laughs.

At that moment, a Turk points a pistol four inches from the baby’s face. The baby laughs with glee, holds out its little hands to the pistol, and he pulls the trigger in the baby’s face and blows out its brains. Artistic, wasn’t it?

By the way, Turks are particularly fond of sweet things, they say.”

Such are the fruits of an ungodly religion.

It is clear that Candace Owens believes that genocide is never justified, ever. God, on the other hand, has historically taken a different view.

God seems to have absolutely no problem wiping people out who are evil. When the sin of a people “reaches its full measure” (Genesis 15:16), God executes judgment with great ferocity against the offenders.

God always cares for the righteous, however, and will not execute judgment until they are taken out of the way.

We see this prior to the flood of Noah when God executed genocide on the entire human race. Only eight people survived this massacre. His decision was based on the fact that the people were so evil they were unworthy of further existence.

“The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time” (Genesis 6:5).

In this instance, God removed the righteous and executed judgment on the remainder.

We see this also when God was about to execute judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah for the terrible sins they were committing. God stated that if even ten righteous people could be found in these cities, he would not execute judgment upon them.

However, ten righteous people could not be found, and the four that were there were told to leave. The rest of the inhabitants of these cities were obliterated.

When God gave instructions to his people Israel regarding going to war, he made it clear that none of the enemies of Israel were to be left alive. When their wickedness had reached its full measure, God would instruct the government of Israel:

“But in the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, but you shall devote them to complete destruction, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord your God has commanded, that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 20:16-19).

The reason given by God was that not only were these people’ irredeemable,’ but they would teach his people their detestable religious practices.

It is possible for a people to become so wicked that they have exhausted the mercy of God. This was true of the Amalekites who attempted to destroy God’s people, the people of Israel, when they were in a weakened condition.

God remembered their sins and their Satanic attempt to wipe out his people, and, through the prophet Samuel, instructed the government of Israel:

“I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt. Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey” (I Samuel 15:1-3).

This sounds like what Hamas attempted to execute against the people of Israel.

The difference is that the minions of Hamas are not members of God’s people. They are followers of a pagan religion that exists in opposition to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

They belong to Satan.

God makes some people for noble purposes and some for common use. All can repent of their wickedness and place their faith in the Lord at any time in their lives. Those who were made for common use simply have no interest in the God who was the author of the Ten Commandments.

When God, in his Sovereign will, chooses to slaughter the wicked, it is because he has no intention of granting them repentance so that they come to a knowledge of the truth. They have no hope of coming to their senses and escaping the snares of the devil who has taken them captive to do his will.

For the wickedness of a society to reach its ‘full measure,’ there are a number of sins that must be commonplace. In the Book of Leviticus, God lists the sins that cause the land to vomit out its inhabitants.

These sins are unbridled fornication, incest, adultery, the sacrificing of children to Molech, homosexuality, and bestiality.

God instructed his people:

“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.

But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you (for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you” (Leviticus 18:24-28).

The sin of a people can become so horrific that it infects the land and the livestock so that both are worthless.

When we consider the opening of the Seven Seals, the blowing of the Seven Trumpets, and the pouring out of the Seven Bowls of judgment in the Book of Revelation, we see that God is not the least bit averse to genocide.

These judgments will lead to the extinction of a large number of Godless people.

When the sixth angel blows his trumpet, four angels will be released to kill a third of Godless mankind. Those who are not killed by this plague will refuse to repent of their evil and Godlessness.

They will continue with their demon worship.

They will also refuse to repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality, and their thefts.

When the fourth bowl is poured out, the sun will scorch people with fire. However, instead of repenting of their evil, those who are left will curse the name of God and refuse to glorify him.

Scripture teaches that Christ is going to deal with the Godless nations of the earth ruthlessly. When the nations of the earth rise to destroy the nation of Israel, at Armageddon, they will have exhausted his mercy.

Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it. For the stars of the heavens and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be dark at its rising, and the moon will not shed its light. I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless. I will make people more rare than fine gold, and mankind than the gold of Ophir. Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, at the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day of his fierce anger” (Isaiah 13:9-13).

He will make mankind “rarer than the gold of Ophir.” God will execute a serious genocide that will be on par with the great flood of Noah.

There will be no greater genocide than the one that occurs during the seven years leading up to the battle of Armageddon. John writes of this in the Book of Revelation:

“Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle… ‘Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.’ So the angel swung his sickle…and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden outside the city [Jerusalem], and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse’s bridle, for 1,600 stadia” (Revelation 14:18-20).

This is how God deals with evil. He slaughters those who hate him and then, as an added bonus, subjects them to eternal judgment.

God takes no joy in the death of the wicked. He is patient with all people, not wanting any of them to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Unfortunately, many who belong to Satan will never repent.

Now, let us look at Hamas and try to determine if they deserve to be subject to genocide.

The people of Hamas are all Muslims. They all follow a pagan religion, just like the other nations that came against Israel in ancient times. They also share the same Satanic desire to slaughter the Jews so that this ethnic group is wiped out.

And they have had this desire since the time of Muhammad.

When Muhammad attempted to court the Jews to persuade them that he was one of their prophets, very few of them fell for that ruse. The heart of Muslim antisemitism is recorded by the Muslim historian Ibn Ishaq in his book The Life of Muhammad (with my commentary in bold):

During this time (622 A.D.), the Jewish rabbis showed hostility to the apostle in envy, hatred, and malice because God [Allah] has chosen his apostle from the Arabs…. Yet when Islam appeared and their people [the Jews] flocked to it [out of fear for their lives], they [the Jewish rabbis] were compelled to pretend to accept it to save their lives [this made them ‘hypocrites’].

But in secret, they were hypocrites whose inclination was toward the Jews [Judaism] because they considered the apostle a liar, and [they] strove against Islam. It was the Jewish rabbis who used to annoy the apostle with questions and introduce confusion, so as to confound the truth with falsity [the rabbis would show how Muhammad’s ‘revelations’ were in opposition to the Torah]. The Quran [the teachings of Allah] used to come down [through Muhammad] in reference to these questions of theirs…” (Ibn Ishaq Pg 239).

Once Muhammad saw that there was no way the Jews were going to follow his religion, he turned to a different method of ‘persuasion’:

In 624 AD, the Jewish tribe Banu Qaynuqa was the first to receive threats due to the rejection of Muhammad [the beginning of anti-Semitism in Islam] (Ibn Ishaq Pg.363). “When debating with the Jews, Muhammad would ‘refute’ them with direct revelations from God [Allah] condemning them for their unbelief (Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, Pg 247-270 (the Cow) rather than relying on Scripture.”

Obviously, Muhammad did not ‘refute’ anything. He simply used convenient ‘revelations’ from ‘Allah’ to convince the Jews that he was the latest of their prophets. When the Jews refused to submit to these ‘revelations,’ Ibn Ishaq writes:

The apostle assembled them [the Jews] in their market and addressed them as follows: “O Jews, beware lest God [Allah] bring upon you the vengeance that he brought upon Quraysh and become Muslims. You know that I am a prophet that has been sent—you will find that in your scriptures and God’s covenant with you.”

They replied, “O Muhammad, you seem to think that we are your people. Do not deceive yourself because you encountered a people with no knowledge of war and got the better of them; for by God if we fight you, you will find that we are real men!”

The Jews refused to be intimidated into believing the revelations of Muhammad and were willing to go to war with him rather than submit to his new interpretation of Holy Scripture.

In response, Muhammad announced to the Muslims:

“O you who believe, take not Jews and Christians as friends. They are friends one of another. Who of you takes them as friends is one of them.”

This would begin the over one hundred war verses in the Koran that Muhammad would issue against the Jews. All these verses revolved around the same theme:

The apostle said, “Kill any Jew that falls into your power” (Ibn Ishaq Pg. 369).

And so we arrive at October 7, 2023, and find that the legacy of Muhammad is as strong as ever. The Israeli government was caught off guard, and around 1,300 innocent Israelis were brutally murdered by the followers of Islam.

Of course, they should not have had to have been ‘on guard’ since they were not guilty of any crimes against the imaginary people group the world calls ‘Palestinians.’ All the offenses against these people are fictional.

Unfortunately, the rapes and murders that these terrorists committed were not fictitious.

When the Israeli forensic teams examined the bodies of the victims, they found multiple signs of torture, rape, and countless other atrocities. A look of horror was etched on their faces, and death could not erase it.

It was difficult to determine the identity of many of the dead.

There were dismembered bodies with the arms and feet chopped off, people, including children, who were beheaded, and the women were brutally raped.

Hamas, of course, denied any abuse of the innocent and helpless Israeli citizens that they brutalized.

I believe the Muslims call this Taqiyya.

About 240 hostages were taken back to the Gaza Strip to be used as human shields.

They served the added purpose of satisfying the Muslim desire for torture, further rape of their victims, or to trade for their terrorists that the Israelis were holding.

Upwards of 87% of the ‘Palestinian’ people supported the attack on Israel.

They cheered as women, who were bleeding profusely in their pelvic region, were paraded through the streets of Gaza.

It seems as if the number of innocent ‘Palestinians’ is only about 13%.

So let us return to Candace Owens’ tweet about how “no government anywhere has a right to commit genocide, ever.”

Let us examine God’s standard to see how the ‘Palestinians’ measure up.

  1. No people should be subject to genocide unless their iniquity has reached its full measure.
  2. If only a few righteous people can be found among a population, God will not wipe them out (although he will remove the righteous and wipe out those who remain).
  3. There are certain sins that are intolerable to God and will cause the land to vomit out its inhabitants.
  4. There is no question that the thoughts of the terrorists of Hamas are only evil continually.
  5. Those who try to eradicate Israel and the Jewish people deserve, and will one day receive, total annihilation by the hand of God.

Regarding point one, there is no question that there is a small contingent of ‘Palestinians’ who are decent. Those who support Hamas can make no claim to decency and, quite frankly, deserve to be ‘collateral damage.’

However, the ‘Palestinian’ people do not yet deserve to be subject to genocide.

There is no question that every Muslim is in rebellion against God. Those who adhere to this religion deny that God sent his only Son to die for the sins of humanity.

And the extremists of this religion, who set its standards, will gladly torture and kill anyone who disagrees with them.

When we consider the Ten Commandments, there is no question that all Muslims worship a different god than the One who wrote these commandments, that Muslims who believe in ‘Jihad’ murder without mercy, that they have stolen the possessions of their victims since the time of Muhammad, that they bear false witness against the Jews and the nation of Israel, and they covet what the Jews have produced.

When a group of people violates five of the top ten commandments, not to mention promoting adultery by allowing more than one wife, these people have a lot of repenting to do.

Although most Muslims do have a conscience and will not involve themselves in this kind of murder, their silence on the execution of Jihad makes them just as guilty in the eyes of God.

Therefore, it is safe to conclude that to perpetrate genocide against the occupants of the Gaza Strip is not acceptable to God.

However, the destruction of Hamas and anyone who claims allegiance to them is fair game.

Their thoughts are only evil continually, and to continue to allow these people to operate without fear for their lives will result in more Israeli deaths.

In the meantime, it is the job of the Christian to call all people to repent of their evil and receive the gift of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We should continue to do this until we are taken out of the way.

It is the job of the Israeli government to take over all of Israel to ensure the safety and security of its people. They need to realize that their nation does not fit into the hope of a totalitarian world government that the evil Globalists have planned for us.

The ‘world community’ will work diligently for the annihilation of Israel.

This is a Satanic desire, and those who possess it cannot be reasoned with.

As the nations and the evil Globalists attempt to destroy the nation of Israel, God will see to it that their attacks only make his nation more powerful. Soon, Israel will become so powerful that the Russians and many other nations will attempt to wipe it out.

They will fail miserably.

Finally, the Antichrist will rally the entire world against God’s tiny nation in a last-ditch effort to destroy them.

When they do, Christ himself will ride out on a white horse to slaughter the demonic hoards of the world.

When Christ stands before his people in victory, then the people of Israel will look upon Christ, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child. And they will grieve bitterly as one grieves for a firstborn son.

After the genocide of the Godless, Christ will sit on his heavenly throne and judge the nations of the world. The sheep will be on his right, and every unrepentant Muslim, along with all other heathen, will be on his left.

Then they will all go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
