Russia Launches Wave of Attacks Against Ukraine

Voice of America News reports: “Russia launched a wave of missile attacks on several Ukrainian cities Friday, killing at least 13 people and injuring at least 18 others, Ukrainian officials said. Authorities say the death toll will likely rise.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Today, Russia used nearly every type of weapon in its arsenal: ‘Kindzhals,’ S-300s, cruise missiles, and drones. … A total of around 110 missiles were fired against Ukraine, with the majority of them being shot down.”

Zelenskyy said a maternity hospital was among the targets of Russia’s strike. Other targets included “educational facilities, a shopping mall, multi-story residential buildings and private homes, a commercial storage and a parking lot.”

Cities that Russia hit, according to Zelenskyy’s post, included Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa. Dnipro, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia…”
