Not a day passes that we do not see the end of the time prophecy taking place more and more. Changing weather patterns, earthquakes, pestilences, activities that the Father calls abominations being accepted as “normal,” and anything pertaining to Jesus being labeled as hate. These are only a few of the prophetic signs that we were told about in Bible prophecy that are happening right now. In fact, it appears Ezekiel 38 is very near, as Israel is being attacked as this message is being written.

False prophets are in the pulpits of some previously Bible-based churches, giving “ear tickling” messages designed to remove any guilt feelings from the congregation. The effort is to keep seats and collection plates filled rather than being devoted to the One who gave His life on a cruel cross at Calvary so that we could have a true pathway to the Father and eternal life. That is conveniently being pushed aside.

Paul’s message to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-4 should be first and foremost on the minds of all who present the Word of the Father today. “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom; preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke and extort with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having “itching ears,” they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth, and wander off into myths.”

Light shows and heart-thumping music set the atmosphere for a member to get caught up in the inspiring rhythm without actually receiving the nourishment needed from the true word provided by our Heavenly Father. The Bible is a pure love letter from our Creator, who really wants everyone to repent and to receive and accept the free gift given by His Son and for us to be able to spend eternity with Him. In 2 Peter 3:9, we read, “The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

More and more messages are being given that are saying we all worship the same god, and there are many ways to heaven without having Jesus as your Savior.

God’s word disputes this in numerous places, but especially in John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. From John: “Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” And in Acts, “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Our Heavenly Father has provided a sure way to Heaven, and it is only hard for those who believe there has to be more included to be saved. First, we cannot purchase or earn our way into a Heavenly Home, which is very specific in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works so that no one may boast.”

Before anyone gets the idea that they live a sinless life and, therefore, are good enough to get into Heaven, several places tell us differently. Romans 3:10; “As it is written, none is righteous, no not one.” Romans 3:23; “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Going to Romans 6:23, we’re told what we deserve but what we will gain if we receive and accept Jesus; “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

There was only one “human” in the history of the world that will ever live a sinless life, and that was Jesus our Savior. He was tempted by Satan himself and had all the human feelings that we have, yet He was able to resist and not commit any sin at all. The reason for this was He knew His mission here was to be the perfect sacrifice needed to be accepted by the Heavenly Father for forgiveness of all our sins. He willingly gave Himself so that you and I could ask and receive forgiveness for the sins we have committed and will commit before leaving this earth (John 10:18).

Unfortunately, more people are under the influence of Satan and his false prophets than are committed to being followers of our Lord and Savior. This does not surprise our Heavenly Father, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit. Matthew 7:13-14 specifically says there will be more on the road to destruction than on the straight and narrow pathway leading to eternal life.

There are several phases we can be in, starting with all of ourselves and none of the Savior, all the way to living fully for the Savior and not for ourselves. Jesus, the Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit know that as long as we are in these fallible human bodies and have an earthly mindset, we will not be perfect.

In 1874, Theodore Monod (1836-1921) wrote a song called “None of Self, and All of Thee.” It gives us a progression of totally lost to totally saved.

1.) Oh the bitter shame and sorrow that a time could ever be when I let the Savior’s pity plead in vain, and proudly answered: All of Self, and None of Thee.

2.) Yet He found me; I beheld Him bleeding on the accursed tree. Heard Him pray, Forgive Them, Father! And my wistful heart said faintly, Some of Self, and Some of Thee.

3.) Day by day His tender mercy; healing, helping, full and free. Sweet and strong, and oh so patient, brought me lower while I whispered: Less of Self, and More of Thee.

4.) Higher than the highest Heaven, deeper than the deepest sea, Lord, Thy love at last has conquered; Grant me now my supplication; None of Self, and ALL OF THEE!”

The only time that all true believers will be totally able to be completely sinless will be at the moment we take our last breath and perish, or at the instant we will be taken up to meet our Savior in the air in the Rapture. Paul tells us that when Jesus comes to take His flock off this earth to avoid the coming wrath, the dead in Christ will be taken first and reunited with their bodies and transformed into their eternal and immortal bodies. Those who are alive and are taken up will transform as we rise up to meet our Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53). Just imagine how wonderful to never have pain or any illness or to experience death ever again. Also, we will be completely immune from any of Satan’s temptations.

We don’t know exactly when our Savior will call us Home, but everything that was needed to be done beforehand has taken place. The next major prophetic event on this earth’s timeline will be the Rapture. Then this planet will experience the worst 7-year period of time ever.

Everyone who chooses to do so can avoid that horrible time. All who become a part of the Shepherd’s flock will not experience the wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, and Revelation 3:10). It will still be possible to call out and be saved during the tribulation, but the cost will most likely be martyrdom.

All who take their last breath on this earth without Jesus as their Savior will attend the White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. No one there will receive eternal life in Heaven but will be condemned into the lake of fire forever.

Take a moment and consider your eternity. Satan would like you to believe this earth is all you’ll ever need and to ignore the free gift given by our Jesus at Calvary. Please know it’s obvious that he will be punished the most but is just arrogant enough to still want to have as many souls with him as possible.

God will force no one but will accept all who call out to His Son to forgive and save them. Today would not be too early to make the most important decision of your entire life. Remember, no one is guaranteed another day here.

When the Roll is Called Up Yonder, we hope you have made arrangements to be there!

Come, Lord Jesus! Shalom – Peace!
