Strikes in Northern Lebanon, Potential Ceasefire, and Macron says Troops in Ukraine Possible #shorts
Israeli jets struck nearly 60 miles into Lebanon Monday, killing at least two Hezbollah fighters. The militant group retaliated with rocket attacks into northern Israel. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says Hezbollah is losing commanders rapidly due to the strikes.
President Joe Biden has signaled that a cease-fire in Gaza could be at hand. He said that Israel has agreed to pause its offensive during the upcoming Muslim holy month of Ramadan if a deal is reached to release hostages. However, both Israel and Hamas downplayed that a breakthrough was imminent.
And French President Emmanuel Macron says sending Western troops to Ukraine is not “ruled out” in the future after the issue was debated at a gathering of European leaders in Paris. The French leader said “we will do everything needed so Russia cannot win the war.”
