Chaplains in jails and prisons across America are in desperate need of King James Bibles, and Bibles Behind Bars thanks to every one of you is meeting that need every day

Jail can be a scary, lonely place to be and prison is many times worse than that as inmates serve out their sentences. All across America, Christian men and women are serving to meet the spiritual needs of prisoners by giving them the gospel to hear with their ears, and paper Bibles for them to see it with their eyes. Jesus started His earthly ministry with a verse from Isaiah about setting the captives free. I’d like to introduce you to a few of the chaplains who’ve written to me in the past week.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18,19 (KJB)

Chaplain Teague, Laurens County SC Detention Center: Yesterday he emailed us and said this: “Greeting from Laurens County Sheriff Department-Jail Division. We hope all is well with you and your ministry. My name Philip Teague Master Deputy with LCSO Jail Division, Program Director and Compliance Officer. We are medium to small jail with a capacity of 275 inmates, our current population is 220 people in our care. Our inmates do not have access to tablets, we hand out books and Bible to all that request religious guidance. During COVID all the church groups stop coming and only recently have we started letting church groups back in. All our books, Bibles and other items are given to the inmates though donations. If it is not too much trouble, we would greatly appreciate any help with Bibles. We request, if possible 100 Bibles for our inmates. This will be greatly appreciated by our inmates as well as our staff with Sheriff Office. All Bibles will be given out though staff request made by our inmates. Thank you for all you do, and any help we will be indebted to you. Thank you again and God Bless.”

Chaplain Scott Schwarzrock, Union Correctional Institution: “Thank you and your Bibles Behind Bars ministry for your generous support in providing Bibles to our inmates. I am writing to request a resupply of King James Bibles here at Union Correctional institution as we are down to our last box in our storage room. We could probably use a resupply of 200 King James Bibles.”

Chaplain Todd Herbert, Sebastian County Adult Detention Center: “We thank you for sending Bibles in the past. Every Bible we get out is an opportunity to share the Gospel. We have had 172 inmates trust Christ as Saviour in the last 6 months. We can use English, KJV Bibles. Thank you for whatever you can send. Our inmate population is 400 (300 men and 100 women). God bless!”

This is just a fraction of the emails we receive from chaplains, preachers, pastors and gospel workers who desperately need Bibles to properly do the job that God has called them to do, this is why the Lord raised up Bibles Behind Bars. We send out Bibles, New Testaments and scripture portions every day that the Bookstore is open, all across America and around the world. If God has prospered you, please take a moment to click on the link to make a generous donation. We can’t do any of this without your prayers and financial support. Our theme at the Camp Meeting this year will focus on jail and prison ministry, and you will to meet some of these people and hear what actually happens behind the bars. Thank you so very much…TO THE FIGHT!!!

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last Days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. The Lord has given us an open door with a tremendous ‘course’ for us to fulfill that will create an excellent experience at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Please pray for our efforts, and if the Lord leads you to donate, be as generous as possible. The war is REAL, the battle HOT and the time is SHORTTO THE FIGHT!!!

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJB)
