Israel Decides on Iran Counterattack, Mayorkas Impeachment, and Record Rain in Dubai #short
Israel’s leadership has reportedly decided on a range of ways it may hit back at Iran. For now, though, the government has yet to choose a time. The White House continues to discourage an Israeli strike, arguing for sanctions instead.
The impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas begins in the U.S. Senate today. He’s expected to survive impeachment, but House lawmakers still grilled him Tuesday about the flood of migrants who have come across the southern U.S. border.
And heavy thunderstorms have lashed the United Arab Emirates, dumping the heaviest rain ever recorded in the country in the span of hours. By the end of Tuesday, more than 5.59 inches of rain had soaked Dubai over 24 hours, nearly two inches more than the national average.
