New Hostage Video Released, Russian Missiles Strike Kharkiv, and Taiwan’s Military on Alert #shorts
A group representing the families of hostages held in Gaza has released new video footage showing the capture of five female Israeli soldiers near the Gaza border on Oct. 7. The video shows several of the young soldiers bloody and wounded. In one scene, a militant tells one of the terrified women she is beautiful.
Officials said at least 16 people were injured in Kharkiv when Russian missiles struck the city early Thursday. Ukraine’s army is laboring in the Kharkiv region to hold off an intense cross-border offensive by Russia’s larger and better-equipped forces.
And Taiwan says it has put its defense forces on alert after China announced it will conduct military drills around the island nation. The Defense Ministry said China’s “irrational provocation has jeopardized regional peace and stability.”
