Cluster Munitions to Ukraine, Low Confidence in US Institutions, and UK Boycott Bill #shorts
Findings from the latest survey by the Gallup organization show that the average public confidence in 16 major U.S. institutions has fallen to their lowest recorded level. The survey shows wide disparity between Republicans and Democrats concerning confidence in several institutions, including the presidency, the Supreme Court, police, and organized religion.
The Biden administration is expected to announce today that it is now willing to send controversial cluster bombs to Ukraine in their fight to push back the Russian military. Some human rights groups oppose cluster munitions because unexploded bombs have killed and maimed civilians.
And the British Parliament has approved a bill that prevents government bodies from boycotting Israel. The law is aimed at preventing cities in the UK from organizing their own boycotts. Critics of the law say it is too broad, but the measure passed by a wide margin.
