A rapidly rising uptick of immigrants has strained state resources and pushed the Massachusetts shelter system to the point that it is “reaching capacity,” Gov. Maura Healey said Tuesday morning as she declared a state of emergency around the “crisis” situation.

On both my mom and dad’s side of the family, we are immigrants from another country. I have in my desk drawer next to me right now a handwritten book from the 19th century with all the stops my dad’s family made along the way before arriving here in the New World. But there is good immigration that’s done ‘decently and in order’ and according to the law, and there’ s bad immigration where people are allowed in through open borders with no thought of what they’ll do and how they’ll live when they get there. This is the immigration that can destroy America.

First, the government creates the problem, in this case the problem is an unsustainable and wanton influx of illegal immigrants with no system in place to process them like we used to have in places like Ellis Island where my mom’s father arrived at in 1922. Then there is a reaction to this completely self-made ‘problem’, in Massachusetts the reaction is one of extreme panic. What’s the solution to this mess? They have the answer, imagine that. Start asking residents to begin housing these illegals. Doing that is not ‘showing compassion’, it is collapsing the system. Once the government gets you to begin housing illegals in your home, where does that stop? It doesn’t. As we have told you many times over the past 14 years, this is the plan of the Far Left known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

The four steps of the Cloward-Piven Strategy:

1. Overload and Break the Welfare System
2. Have Chaos Ensue
3. Take Control in the Chaos
4. Implement Socialism and Communism through Government Force

America is a nation of immigrants arrived here through peaceful and legal means, and in an orderly and lawful manner. Flooding city after city with thousands of illegals can only have one purpose in mind, and that’s to break the system. This is happening all over the country right now, just ask Lady Gaga’s dad, he’ll tell you. If the government comes to you and asks you to house the illegals they let in illegally, tell them to go pound salt. Because if you don’t, soon you will be the refugee looking for shelter.

Massachusetts State asks residents to host immigrant families as shelter system reaches capacity

FROM WWLP NEWS: Close to 5,600 families are currently housed in the state’s emergency shelter system, Healey said during a press conference at the State House on Tuesday morning. This number is 80 percent higher than one year ago, she said, and can grow by between 10 and 30 families each day.

More than 80 cities and towns across the state are hosting these families, including more than 1,800 families who are residing in hotels and motels, according to the governor’s office.

“These numbers are being driven by a surge of new arrivals in our country who’ve been through some of the hardest journeys imaginable. They are the face of the international migrant crisis. They’re here because where they came from is too dangerous to stay,” Healey said. “They’re here because Massachusetts has and will always be a beacon of hope, compassion, humanity and opportunity.”

Massachusetts is the only state in the country with a “right to shelter” law, which guarantees homeless families access to emergency shelter.

Along with her emergency declaration, the governor on Tuesday delivered an “urgent and formal appeal” to the federal government to “remove barriers and expedite federal work authorizations,” and for “action and intervention for funding.”
